Music Ministry & Parish Choir

St. Joseph Parish Choir

The St. Joseph Parish Choir is an integral part of our liturgical celebrations, enriching the worship experience through sacred music and song. Through hymns, psalms, and anthems, the choir helps lift the hearts of the faithful in prayer and praise during Mass and other special celebrations throughout the year.

The choir performs at the weekly Mass, feast days, and special sacramental celebrations including weddings, funerals, and seasonal liturgies such as Christmas and Easter. Their dedication and musical gifts are a blessing to our entire parish community.

All are welcome to join the choir. Whether you are an experienced singer or simply have a love for sacred music, there is a place for you. For more information about joining or rehearsal times, please contact the parish office.

Eucharist Ministry

The Eucharist Ministers serve a vital role in our parish by assisting the priest in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ to the faithful during Mass. This ministry is a profound expression of love and service, as it allows parishioners to help ensure that the Eucharist, the source and summit of our faith, is shared reverently and efficiently within our community.

As a Eucharist Minister you will have the privilege of not only helping during Mass but also, in some cases, bringing the Eucharist to those who are homebound, in hospitals, or in care facilities. This act of charity extends the love and presence of Christ to those who are unable to join us in person, ensuring that they remain connected to the life of the Church and receive spiritual nourishment.

Lector Ministry

The Lector Ministry is a vital part of our parish's liturgical life, providing an opportunity for parishioners to proclaim the Word of God during Mass. Lectors have the important responsibility of reading Scripture passages from the Old and New Testaments, delivering these sacred texts in a clear and engaging manner so that the congregation can reflect deeply on God's message.

Through their ministry, lectors help to make the Word of God come alive for those who are gathered in worship.

For more information about joining the Lector Ministry, please contact the parish office.

Hospitality Ministry

The Hospitality Team plays a vital role in fostering a warm and welcoming environment within our parish community. They serve as the first point of contact for parishioners and visitors attending Mass, making everyone feel welcome and ensuring that each person is greeted with warmth and kindness. Their role is crucial in fostering a sense of belonging and community within our church.

If you enjoy making others feel welcome and have a heart for service, consider joining the Hospitality Team.

Funeral Servers Ministry

Funeral servers assist the priest and grieving families by setting up for the liturgy, preparing the altar, and serving during the Mass. They play a vital role in creating a prayerful atmosphere that honours the deceased and offers comfort to those who mourn.

Volunteers in this ministry are trained to perform various tasks, such as carrying the cross, holding candles, assisting with incense, and guiding the congregation during the funeral rites.

If you have a compassionate heart and a desire to support families during their time of loss, we invite you to consider joining the Funeral Servers Ministry.
